Carl R. Bacon is chair of StatPro Group PLC and runs his own consultancy business, where he provides advice to asset managers on various risk and performance measurement issues. Prior to joining StatPro, he was director of risk control and performance at Foreign & Colonial Management, vice president and head of performance at J.P. Morgan Investment Management (Europe), and head of performance at Royal Insurance Asset Management. Mr. Bacon is a member of the U.K. Investment Performance Committee, European Investment Performance Committee, and Investment Performance Council (IPC). He also chairs the IPC’s Interpretations Subcommittee and is a member of the advisory board of the Journal of Performance Measurement. Mr. Bacon holds a B.Sc. in mathematics from Manchester University.
