Robert A. Olstein is president and chief investment officer at Olstein Capital Management, L.P. He co-founded the Quality of Earnings Report and has worked at Smith Barney and Arthur Andersen. Mr. Olstein is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and has contributed to or authored numerous articles on corporate reporting and disclosure practices in the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, the New York Times, and Barron's. He has also testified before the U.S. Senate Banking Committee. Mr. Olstein is a recipient of the Financial Analysts Federation (predecessor of CFA Institute) Graham and Dodd Scroll Award, which he received in 1973. He holds an MBA in accounting and a BA in mathematical statistics from Michigan State University.
Fred H. Speece, Jr., CFA, is a founder of the investment management firm of Speece Thorson Capital Group, Inc. He is chair of the Board of Trustees of the Research Foundation of AIMR, past chair of the Board of Governors of AIMR, past chair of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, and past chair of the Financial Analysts Seminar. Mr. Speece holds a BBA from Ohio University and an MBA from Western Michigan University.
