The Currency Question: Facts and Misconceptions

From the 2012 Asia Pacific Investment Conference

Professor Avinash Persaud explores various issues in currency markets today, including how long-term currency risk is about too much inflation, not too little growth, and how overly indebted, young populations are voting for inflation and getting currency weakness in exchange. Persaud argues that just as the U.S. century was built on the ashes of sterling balances, the Asian century will be built on the ashes of dollar balances.
