Jeffrey E. Horvitz is vice chairman of Moreland Management Company, a family investment office. He is a frequent speaker and author of papers on topics such as portfolio rebalancing, asset allocation, taxation of investments, non-indexed passive equity products, private equity investing, and collectibles. Mr. Horvitz has published articles in financial journals including the Journal of Wealth Management and the Journal of Investing, and he co-authored the CFA Institute monograph Investment Management for Taxable Private Investors. He holds a BA and an MA in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles.
