Profitable Client Meetings

Recent surveys of high-net-worth individuals have indicated that their top concerns regarding their investment advisors are communication and trust. In order to have satisfied and committed clients, counselors need to know how to make the appropriate decisions as well as what are the practices that keep clients and foster strong relationships. In this presentation, Meredith Jones explores the elements of successful client meetings and demonstrates how presentation materials enhance the practitioner’s message and encourage communication. Ms. Jones provides concrete strategies on how to conduct client meetings—strategies that cover current issues, cement relationships, and lead to new assets and referrals.

Meredith A. Jones is director of market research at Strategic Financial Solutions, LLC, where she is responsible for researching, speaking, and writing about alternative and traditional investments as well as developing and implementing marketing initiatives and strategic partnerships. Previously, she was vice president and director of research at Van Hedge Fund Advisors International, where she led a staff of research analysts in manager selection, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring and conducted quantitative and qualitative due diligence. Ms. Jones is a graduate of Centre College.
